John: Hello again. Are you still reading?
Miyako: Yep.
John: Are you still reading the same book?
Miyako: Yeah. It’s interesting. It’s really really interesting. In fact, it’s fascinating.
John: What’s it about?
Miyako: It’s about how education is fun. Learning is fun. Learning new things is really enjoyable. It gives you pleasure.
John: Hmmmm. Do you think that is true?
Miyako: It depends. Sometimes it is true but sometimes it is not true.
John: Do you read much?
Miyako: Yeah I read a lot. I am always reading. You can learn a lot from books. It is fun too. I really agree with what this book says. Education IS ecstasy. You can learn a lot of things from books and it is a real pleasure.
John: Maybe you should be a teacher.
Miyako: Yeah. Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know about the future. What do you want to do in the future? What do you want to be?
John: You mean, what kind of job do I want to get?
Miyako: Yeah, what kind of career would you like to have?
John: I would like to be a writer.
Miyako: A writer? Really? You mean…like…a novelist?
John: Yeah, a novelist or a journalist. I think I would like to be a novelist or a journalist. I really like words and language and I really like putting my ideas down on paper. What about you? Would you like to be a writer?
