    Hi,

The Tamil translation is not quite correct. But its amazing to hear the India’s oldest language in englishconversations site.

    Hi Manikandan,

Thanks for your comment. I was in north India earlier this year and I found a book with a map showing Tamil Nadu stretching far down into what is now the Indian Ocean. I have also read that there are underwater cities off the coast of south India and that the 2006 tsunami uncovered the ruins of more lost underwater cities.

This is fascinating stuff and the western and Indian view of the ancient history of India seem to vary a lot. I am really interested in this topic. Next time I go to India I will go to Tamil Nadu and take some lessons myself. I work as an English teacher but my interest is in all languages. I want to get to the bottom of this mystery.

hi learn myself through this site thanx……

  • G.Franklin says:

The tamil conversation heard on this site is of one particular, regional type of spoken language. The tamil speakers must use ‘book tamil’ in order to help thousands of tamil youngsters and tamil family members learn tamil the right way. The site managers contributions in this matter is praiseworthy. This is one site that is so international in content. Congratulations.

  • Vip says:

hi all, this is a sort of side question. I am not a Tamil speaker although i would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me how to say “Congratulations on the new house” in Tamil.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thank you!

    Vip
