I’ve a challenge that I’m just now operating on, and I have been on the look out for such information.

  2. Great article. I am dealing with some of these issues as well..

I am upset for people in Ukraine too.I was last summer there. The same situation with pension . Now old people have minimum pension about $100,00 a month. I don’t know how to live with such money.

Imagine that the value of the Egyptian pound has decreased compred to the dollar.
Now it has becoame one dollar = L.E 5.69 , don’t forget that the rate of salaries is very low compared with the raising of prices, at the same time, there is a new class of comunity ( people) who has come up and cancelled the middle class, so the Egyptian people is divided into two divisions, very poor and very wealthy the later who have been enriched illegally,or by taking loans from the banks, in order to invest but actually, they are imposters.

  5. Sabine says:

In germany the age to retire was increased up to 67 gradually depending on current age. Our age structure of population became very bad, means the people are living longer. So the government decided to solve the problem this way. But I think its unfair towards the younger poeple. They have to work longer and their pension will be much smaler than the pension of current pensioners. The most german pensioners live like in paradise compares to other contries. But its the last generation wich gets such lush pensions. Its not affordable for the society anymore. The only way for younger generations to keep their standard of living when retired, is to safe money or to buy real estates while their work life.

In Egypt, the government has closed all the religious channels without previous alarm or notice, this has has caused disappointment to the owners and the viewers of these channels, also this is against the media freedom.

  7. Djoko says:

The workers of government in Indonesia are pension 55 years old. They get pension money from government each month. But the pension money is decrease from the last salary per month.

  8. Mark White says:

In Australia the government tried to raise money to cover the cost of pensions by introducing “superannuation”.

Superannuation is a compulsory payment of ten per cent of your salary which the government takes and keeps for you. It will give you the money when you retire.

However the superannuation funds are managed by finance companies and they invest (“gamble”) the money on stocks, futures, options and other unreliable (and in my view “immoral” in a world of poverty) financial practices.

I do not believe that I will ever see any of the money that I have paid into this scheme.

I think we should take care of all the people in our society.

Is there enough to go around?

    What do you think?

  9. gasán says:

It’s not fair for the young people, and it’s not fair for the aged people. Increasing the pension age to 65 is going to leave many youngsters without a job.

  10. elham says:

In Egypt,I think that the government is planning to increase the pension age to 65 instead of 60 years old.I am not sure what is the benefit of this but somebody said it is money saving..don’t know how

In Egypt, The economic situation is complex , because the rate of prices is raising comparatively with the salaries, income in generral. Every sunlight (everyday), there is increasing in prices of vegetables, fruit, especially, the crazy tomatoes which has become L.E.10/kilo, That’s cosidered the most expensive price I ever seen. On the other hand, fruit seller felt jealousy and raised the fruit prices to reach L.E.10/12 kilo. how can this poor people live comfortably,
In addition, there are a lot of problems which face the young men, such as, housing, marriage,…etc. Really, it’s a big problem and the politicians are putting their hands in cold water leaving poor people solve their problems by their owns.

        one dollar=5.5 egyptian pound…
though the price of tomato will look very cheap if you count it by dollars, but for egyptians it is very expensive as the salaries are very low ..guess how much the medium range salary is there??

      • Tharwat Al-Sayyed Ali says:

        Hi, Pedro,
