The Nature of English – The Future – Planned

We use “future going to” tense for planned statements about what we are going to do in the future.

I am going to go home
I am going to go home and cook dinner.
I am going to go home and cook dinner and go to bed early.
i am going to read a book.
I am going to read a book in bed.

Look at these variants:

I am going to read a book.
I am gonna read a book.
I’m gonna read a book.

Look at the negative:

I am not going to read a book.
I am not gonna read a book.
I ain’t gonna read a book.
