I Was Not Raised By My Biological Parents

Sometimes our relationship to a person is very very close even though we are adopted. We reflect on the person who raised us and say:

I was raised by my uncle. He was not my real uncle but he raised me as if I was his own son. My biological mother died and I was raised by my uncle.

Which one is true for you?

1. I was raised by a mother. She was not my real mother but.
2. I was raised by a grandmother. She was not my real grandmother but
3. I was raised by an aunt. She was not my real aunt but
4. I was raised by an uncle. He was not my real uncle but
5. I was raised by a brother. He was not my real brother but
6. I was raised by a sister. She was not my real sister but

In the American television program, “The Simpsons” Homer Simpson found that the father who raised him was not his biological father. He did not mind. He thought the man who raised him was his “real” father.
