Things You Are Not Allowed To Do – The Law Page
In Lesson Four: The Work Page, we talked about things you have to do. Compare:
things you have to do
things that you have to do
with
things you are not allowed to do
things that you are not allowed to do
The first pair are active voice. The second pair are passive voice. You can find grammar notes and examples of passive and active voice at this link: the passive page
Ways to say it
You are not allowed to do that.
It is forbidden to do that.
That is prohibited.
Style notes – a subtle point – Advanced Level – Sociolinguistics
Note that the words “forbidden” and “prohibited” are written style and they sound hard or inhumane to the native speaker. In informal spoken style it is more common to say “not allowed” and to use “you are allowed to” or “you are not allowed to” rather than “it is prohibited” and “it is forbidden”.

In Australia they are preparing to enact a law which will give the government secret security forces the right to access your computer remotely and to upload material onto it and to disguise the fact that they did this. That means they are legislating to give their agents the right to frame any member of society.

Thank you for the lesson. I have learned some new words from it.
As for Australia I think if the government want to make a remote access to every computer they will exactly do that, no matter what people think of it or what they will vote for. I am sure this can be fulfilled by some illegal ways and they know how to implement that. I am afraid this can happen not only in Australia. It is just Australian government claimed about this out loud, in many other countries it takes place but not official. Only CPU specialists can struggle this blocking their computer systems, but there are only just a few of them.
Thank you very much the Lesson. I have learned so many ways so great for me.
Hello dear sire /Madam

I like your lessons a lot. You don´t only teach English but moral. It´s impotant to remember that we live in this society where the POWER wants to have more power and control over the population. They want the rich to keep being richer and the poor poorest.
dat is good.
