A trap is a a device to catch animals or insects or even people. Look at these collocations:

A trap can be a concrete or real thing but it can also be an abstract thing. In the song Elvis and his lover are trapped because they love each other but cannot trust each other. It is terrible!

“Too much” is a negative expression. “I love you too much” means the amount of love is not healthy.

“Suspicion” is a noun and “suspicious” is an adjective. A person with a suspicious mind is a person who has difficulty trusting others.
